London, unreal city, city of ghosts ... this imagining is essentially screened through the works of various émigrés - T.S. Eliot, Louis-Ferdinand Céline and the spectral city conjured up by Thomas Pynchon in his Gravity’s Rainbow ... the threat of the rockets and bombs falling during two world wars, the lives carrying on beneath. Running throughout the piece is a recording of genuine London air, feel it deep down in your lungs.
